April Showers Bring May Flowers Activity

We’ve all heard the saying “April showers bring May flowers” but we rarely take time out of our day to enjoy the beauty that spring temperatures, rain and sunshine bring to the outdoor world. May, may not be just sunshine, but by the time it is May, flowers have usually begun to bloom and display vibrant colors. My challenge to you for the month of May is to take a coworker, neighbor, old friend, sibling or someone you don’t speak to very often anymore OR would like to get to know better, on a picnic at a scenic place outdoors.

To do so you will need to:

  1. First, invite this person on a picnic and schedule a day/time
  2. Next, pick a good meeting place that isnt far out of the way for either party-FREE is always best. Look for places ahead of time so you have some options to suggest when you discuss. The prettier the location, the more enjoyable the experience.
  3. If this is someone you are looking to get to know more think of some questions ahead of time that you can ask them to have an in-depth and engaging conversation. Ex: “what do you do for work? Tell me about your typical work day.”
  4. Get necessary supplies for the picnic/map out a place to eat
  5. Enjoy your time outdoors in nature with NEW and REFRESHING company
"Good company, lively conversation, and the endearments of friendship fill the mind with great pleasure"
