Physical Health

Physical Health

When asked what physical health means, many will tell you that physical health encompasses healthy eating and exercising on a regular basis. What is often not immediately thought of is the other components of physical health such as: abstinence/reduced use of drugs and alcohol, rest and sleep, and seeking emergency care or addressing minor injuries/ailments. We can recognize the importance of tending to our physical health, but how many of us find excuses to put off actually treating our body the way it was meant to be treated? Well, believe it or not, 100% of people can improve their physical health. You see, many of us recognize that we could be treating our bodies better, but somehow we always manage to find excuses to put it off, namely the “I’ll start next week” mentality. Our bodies are the single place we call home so when our body is not treated with love and care, our minds and souls will hurt and feel pain as well. What all of this boils down to is the fact that physical health is a matter of eliminating unhealthy habits and replacing them with healthy habits that can be worked into our daily routines so that loving our bodies can be almost as effortless as breathing air into our lungs. Sometimes all it takes is some guidance to begin, accountability to continue and an end goal to work towards, in order to keep our head in the game, or in this case our bodies in the game.
